Are you a lawyer or financial advisor?
No. Life: Sorted, LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. We provide nonlawyer document preparation and organizational services using the information and written selections you provide.
Certain answers on our intake form require attorney review before we can continue. If that happens, we will let you know, and you can consult a licensed Florida attorney of your choice.
How does document preparation work?
Our document preparation service is a clerical service. Here is what that means:
- You provide your personal information and your written selections.
- We enter that information into our standard Florida forms exactly as you provide it.
- We do not interpret the law, give legal advice, or decide which documents you need.
- You review your completed documents before signing.
- Signing, witnessing, and notarization instructions are provided with each document, and the service you select determines which of those steps we coordinate.
We do not guarantee any particular legal result. Questions about legal effect should be directed to a licensed Florida attorney.
Why would I need consulting if I can just download the binder myself?
That’s a common question.
Many people buy planning workbooks or binders with the best intentions, but life gets busy and the pages stay blank. It’s not because they don’t care. The process can feel overwhelming when you’re doing it alone.
Our consulting service bridges that gap. We sit down with you, in person or virtually, and help you gather and organize your records step by step, from financial accounts to funeral preferences, so that your family can find what they need.
Consulting is organizational support only. It is not legal, financial, tax, or insurance advice, and we do not review or interpret your existing legal documents.
What’s included in the Legacy Binder?
The Legacy Binder is a place to organize the records you choose to include, such as:
- Personal details and emergency contacts
- Copies of your existing documents (such as a will, power of attorney, or healthcare directive)
- Financial account, insurance, and property information
- End-of-life wishes and funeral preferences
- Digital accounts and passwords
- Key contacts and instructions
- Optional personal letters or an ethical will
You decide what goes in your binder and are responsible for keeping it current. Whether you build it yourself, with consulting support, or alongside document preparation, the binder is an organizational tool and does not replace professional advice.
How long does it take?
That depends on the service you select:
Document Preparation: After you sign the service agreement and pay the invoice, we send an intake form. We generally prepare your initial draft within seven calendar days after we receive your payment, completed intake, and all required documents. Signing and notarization are then scheduled according to the service you selected.
Consulting: Two sessions, plus time to complete your homework list at your own pace.
DIY Downloads: Instant access, so you can complete them anytime, anywhere.
Is this service confidential?
Yes. We treat client information and documents as confidential and use them only as needed to provide your requested services. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Because Life: Sorted, LLC is not a law firm, communications with us are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
How much does it cost?
